🔄2020: New Year’s Day Sail
We virtually had the river to ourselves as we left the marina on a chilly New Year’s day for a boy’s day out. The water was very calm and so while the sails were up, we motored out past St Mary’s Island. The wind picked up a little and with the tide in our favour we made our way out towards grain. We turned around at Saltpan Reach after we were all rather cold, despite the tea! It was about here I decided that it was now time for some proper sailing boots and trousers - my feet were bloody freezing. We met Ezz and Albie at the berth when we got back. A quick 6-hour sail, with nobody getting in the way! 📷⛵️
